Leaf Necklace and Braclet

I've been a very naughty blogger!! I've still been crafting when I have time - don't know where it goes! Said this before but I really don't!!
Anyway I decided to make anoher leaf necklace, but in a different colour, and I've been asked to make a matching braclet for a present, only just finished it today and will be dropping it off later so thought i'd better blog it before I forget!

Christening Gifts and Some Jewellery!!

Off to a Christening this afternoon, so decided to make the gift! As I had so much fun altering the clock blank for Matt I decided to do one for the little boy who is getting christened. I didnt want to make it too babyish as hopefully this is something he'll keep for a long time, so i've kept it quite simple, I'm not too sure on the numbers, but two people I've asked like them so I'm leaving it as it is!

Also made a card to go with the gift - I had no ideas and thought i'd be staring at piles of papers etc trying to pull this card together, but it just came together in a few mins, I grabbed some cut off of blue paper I had, inked a chipboard 'M', stuck abit of ribbon, shiny star and some skeleton leaves on and this is how it came out!

As some of you might know, I hate Leeds! and my partner in his wisdom, decided it would be nice to pop into Leeds on Saturday with his little girl Jamie! It wasn't as bad as I thought it might be but I did start getting irriated after a couple of hours, lol. Anyway I popped into this awesome little bead shop, I could have spent hours in there!!! Jamie picked out some beads for herself - some of which I've used to make her a bracelet, see below!

As soon as I saw these beads, I had to get them, I've never seen any this colour before, they have a marbled effect all the way round and none is the same as the other, simply gorge! I haven't finished the necklace off as I don't have any end fasteners for the cord at the mo, I'm planning on getting this lovely leaf style toggle for the fastener, to tie in with the greens

Seem to have got abit of my crafting bug back so while i'm on a roll, need to get some more jewellery made and plan a crafty day making wall hangings!!!

Scrapbook Page!

Can't believe how quickly the weeks are flying past! I don't seem to have much time to craft at the moment but managed to do a few scrapbook pages this weekend (one isn't finished yet so will be posted later) Got some inspiration from a couple of magazines and the ideas just kept coming! Had to jot them down at work before I forgot them!!

I normally used quite patterned paper on pages, but decided to go on the less is more side of things this time, using a fab picture of my partners daughter, taken at last years local gala when she had her face painted! The colours are quite girly for me too but wanted to reflect the colours in the picture!

Jewellery Makes

Thought i'd share my recent makes, haven't signed in for awhile so I'll do some blog hopping later and look at all your lovely makes!!
Got a few bargin mixes of beads from my fave bead website so decided to make some chunky bracelets with them

Also got some funky chain (made up of large ovals and flower shapes), but only got a small length as I wasn't sure what to do with it. Anyway I split it all up, place beads in the centre of the shapes and added simple chain to connect it all together - not really my style but trying to make a wide range of items that would appeal to others and hopefully sell them at future fetes.

Finally added the suede to my leaf necklace! I'm happy with the look and will definatly be using suede again.

Magnolia Mad!

Here are a couple of cards I've made recently, been on abit of a roll! Got some fab magnolia images from my friend Katy and decided to have a good look through all my papers to get inspiration and here are the results!
First one is for no one in in particular, just loved the colours of the background and the layout just came to mind, most likely when I was falling asleep so I had to quickly draw it before I forgot it! lol

Second one is for my cousins little girl who is three in a few weeks time, I knew the Magnolia Horse was perfect for her card and I got my cuttlebug out to play as I haven't used it for awhile and cut her name out.

Altered Photo 'frame'

I've been staring at this photo for ages in our window sill, was in a plain clip frame and looked abit bare with just a white border so I decided to liven it up abit!! I kept the colours to black and white so it'll go in any room I put it in, had so much fun! I love this picture, a few years ago my family had a photo day, one of my mum's photographer friends came over and we had a brilliant day - the silly ones are my favourites - this is one of them, me with my best friend Andrew and my Brother

Gorjuss Card!

I haven't blogged in ages! Haven't made anything in ages :( must have lost my mojo!! Well I, like most of you have fallen in love with the new gorjuss girl stamps and just had to get one for myself! I've finally had a play with it and made a card - here's the result! Matt's Birthday Card and Dice Earrings

Well as the title says, thought I would post matt's birthday card, had a complete blank on what to do and as it was his 30th I wanted it to be special - finally remembered I had the black and silver guitar image and decided to base it round that - he loves guitars, playing and listening to so it seemed perfect! Here it is ... I'm not too sure if it's the best i could have done but Matt loved it so thats all that matters

Got some Fimo to make some things are my mum and had a play with some left overs - not the best picture but here are some funky dice earrings I made - they could be loads better but this was just a little play with see what I could make with it!

Black Leaf Necklace

I found this gorgeous Black Leaves yesterday while shopping in York and had to have them! The shop had a few in different colours but had so many ideas when I saw the black ones! So here's what i did with them ...

I bought some red droplet beads at the same time then used some other red beads from my stash and attached them all to some chain. I've threaded some cord through both end of the chain but I might change this to suede as I've always wanted to use some and attach a nice toggle then it'll be done!

Altered Clock and Jewellery Set

I've been meaning to buy a clock from theglittergarden to alter for awhile, finally bought one the other night and had fun with paint and crafty bits today!! There were moments when I wasn't sure if it would turn out okay but I'm pleased with how it's ended up and I could't wait to give it to Matt so he's seen it and loves it - it's part of his birthday present but it's also our anniversary tomorrow so given it to him for that too!

Recieved my parcel of beads/chain that a ordered the other day too so I've had a play with some jewellery - here's the full set, earrings, necklace and bracelet.

Necklace and Earring Set

I've got really ichy fingers today and feel like I could craft all day!! I've been routing through my bead box trying to decide what to make anf finally thought i'd play with the reminder of the chips I used for the bracelet I made my Mum for Mother's Day (haven't given it yet as they are coming round later for sunday tea!) I love the colours, never worked with chips before, love the fact that each one is different. Anyway here's the necklace and earring set i have made! Hope you like it, thanks for looking!

Mothers Day Card and Pressie

Here's the card and little pressie I have made mum for mother's day. Found the gorgeous ribbon at a little craft shop near by, they have it in loads of different colours so I think i'll be popping back for more!!! Used my penny black hedgehogs as I haven't used them in awhile - had the idea for the card as I was falling asleep! lol I really should sleep with a notepad next to me again (used to do when I was at uni as I would suddenly think of perfect bits for my essays when I was falling asleep!)

For a pressie we're cooking a sunday lunch for mum on mother's day (well matt will be cooking cos he's better than me!) but I thought i'd made a little something to give to her - was planning on just using amethyst chips but saw this mixed pack and loved the colours!

Jewellery Challenge #6

I was really looking forward to making an item for this challenge as I've always wanted to make some jewellery with buttons as so far they had only been used for cards and scrapbook pages! So anyway here's my make, the earrings were abit fiddley, really like how the bracelet turned out, this is something I would definately wear myself!

Jewellery Challenge #5

Here is my entry for the Jewellery Challenge ... not sure it's the best picture so may upload another one tomorrow! The bulk of the beads were rescued from a broken necklace from a charity shop - real bargin! The chain was part of another necklace I got from the same shop! I added my own heart toggle and a few silver beads and purple firestone beads to finish it off!

Birthday pressie and Necklace/Braclet set

I made this bracelet as a birthday pressie and as I've given to the birthday girl now I can post the picture! Spend ages trying to find the right colour beads and once I saw these green ones, I knew they were the ones!

My aunt gave me this gorgeous chain and I've been waiting for the inspiration to use it! I didn't want to over load it with beads as the chain looks great on it's own and I'd already has one attempt at making a bracelet but it didn't feel right to me! At the moment I'm really happy with this out come - lets hope I don't change my mind over night! lol

Birthday Card and Black Lava Bracelet

Made this card for a friends birthday, was worried I wouldnt have any card mojo as I haven't been making many cards recently but I'm really happy with how this turned out.

Finally recieved some beads I'd ordered, I was being impaitent as I wanted to play! Got some funky Black lava beads, aswell as some red firepolish beads that were on offer, thought they went together well so made another elasticated bracelet.

Metallica and Makes!

Had an awesome time at the Metallica gig last night, was brilliant, one of the best I've ever been too. We managed to get a Machine Head Pick and a Metallica one aswell as some cool pictures, this one is my favourite! I was sooooo close to James, hmmmm :P

For the gig I'd made some plectrum earrings to wear, we popped into York today and I saw these awesome SpongeBob Plectrums so got them and turned them into earrings!

I haven't been making many cards recently as I've been concentrating on Jewellery making - This was made for my mum's birthday a few weeks ago. I have a few other birthdays coming up soon too so hopefully I'll be posting a few more cards!

Finally I thought i'd post another braclet I made the other day, similar to one in an older post but with a different colour theme.

On a Roll!

Thought I'd blog a few more items I've made, seem to be on a roll at the moment, really enjoying making jewellery, definatly think I've found my passion - although I really should scrap some more pages, got the perfect excuse after the Metallica gig on Saturday as hopefully I'll get some awesome pictures!

The first piece is a necklace and earring set my mum asked me to make for a Birthday pressie, just need to make a box for them to go in now.

Got some lovely new chain recently, didn't want to overload this one with beads as it's got a nice pattern on it and as you can see it's quite chunky ... have had the square bead for ages, got it in a mix bag and didn't know what to do with it as it was the only one like it!

Got some new keyrings recently too so thought I'd make another one, I'm loving foiled beads at the moment and thought this purple one was gorge so had to buy it.

Weekend Makes

Well here are today's makes, saw a gorgeous bracelet design in a magazine I got yesterday so I decided to adapt it and make my own version, got a little frustrated threading the elastic through the chain as I dont have a proper needle but Matt and I came up with a plan and made our own!

Made earrings to go with the turquoise bracelet too! Hope you like!

(Yeah, I aint cut the elastic off yet but I couldn't wait to show you all my makes so took a photo while the glue was drying!!)

Thought I'd blog this awesome picture of the view out of our kitchen window last night, I'm no photographer but still think it looks kinda cool!

and finally I'm well excited about next weekend, cos I'm off to see METALLICAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! Seen them at festivals before but never at their own gig, it's gonna be immense! I can't fucking wait!! For now, I'll just have to drool over pictures of Mr Hetfield! Yum!

New makes!

Here are a few more makes I've done over the past few days, used some of the beads I got with this months Lets Get Crafting mag!

This is a new design of bracelet that I've tried, really enjoyed doing something different, was abit fiddly at times and got my wire caught up a few times but got the rhythm in the end!!

Matching Bracelet and Earrings, same tech as above bracelet, I'm really loving green at the moment!
These were just abit of a play really, abit of fun with some beads making them into a leaf shape, i'm sure they could be perfected but I enjoy just playing around with ideas sometimes!

I'd had an idea of a bracelet I wanted to make in my head for awhile, and I'd seen these beads and fallen in love with them, I knew I had to make something with them so here is the finished item - was made awhile ago so some of you may have already seen it!! I shall be adding some other makes in the next few days, I've mainly been making earrings as I can easily do them whilst watching tv!
