I've been busy!!

Yesterday I made three cards, Yes three!!! It was bliss :) and today I've made another card, bit of a rush to be honest as I didn't realise it was a family friends 16th birthday tomorrow! Where has the time gone!

First is a thank you card, I'd made this design before but didn't take a photo before I sent it, I always like to have a few cards about just in case so decided to make this again!

Secondly I was just playing around with designs for this one, got out some peels off I've got abit ago (the hearts) Used the black outline and then placed the red pieces inside, i'd seen it on create and crafts the other day and thought I'd give it ago! (By the way still watching C&C and still resisting the urge to buy!)

Third card from yesterday was a baby card, having spoken to my best mate and realising that his friend was due this week!! argh! I'd been meaning to try this word design for a baby card as I'd used it for fathers day and loved it.

And finally! A rushed 16th birthday card for a family friend, used some new papers and new divine swirls embossing folder which arrived today! I've fallen in love with it already! I've been wanting a cuttlebug for ages and my partner surprised me and said as we had some money left over from the festival I could get a cuttlebug! woo!!

Festival

Well as some of you know I went to Download festival this weekend (well from Thurs-Mon) so thought I'd add a little to my blog and a few photos from the weekend. It was my 5th year at Download, the layout has really changed this year and it didn't really feel the same anymore, plus the walk from the campsite to the arena nearly killed us all!! Apart from that the weekend was great, highlights for me included Incubus, however they didnt play 'Green' but the rest of the songs were great, Bullet for my Valentine will always be great in my eyes. Offspring really surprised me as I didnt think they were headline material - they really got the crowd going and their set was awesome, will definately be buying their new album. Judas Priest were cool and I'm glad I can say I've seen them live now .. there are loads more I could mention but I dont plan on writing an essay! lol
ONce I've sorted out all pictures I'll add a few more, but here's one for now!

Anniversary Card

Here is the card I made for my parents anniversary, found the papers on a printer website in the free downloads section! Had so many ideas for the card and spent ages trying out different things but I'm really happy with the way it turned out and so were they :) Sorry the photos are abit rubbish, waiting for my new phone to arrive which has a better camera!

The inside of the card was pretty simple, with a small verse mounted on the lighter backing paper.

Fathers Day Cards

For both of these cards i've tried something new, which I've really enjoyed!
The first card is from myself to my dad, I'd seen a BABY card like this when watching create and crafts one day and saw a DAD template in one of the craft magazine so I thought i'd give it a go myself. I'm really pleased with the way it turned out and had so much fun making it, i've made one for my partners dad in the same way too!

My brother also asked if I'd made a card for him to give to dad, had abit of a struggle to start of with as I wanted to do something completely different to mine. Well I'd been thinking about downloading some George images for awhile and once I saw the cricket George, i thought PERFECT! as both my brother and Dad are big cricket fans. I added the cheeky nickname my brother calls my dad (Old Man), some newspaper article on cricket for the background and a few other bits and pieces. Had a bit of a mental block with placing the items on the card but finally got there and here's the end result!

Recent Makes

Well I haven't updated for awhile - unfortunatly been very busy with work so haven't had much time to craft unless it has been for specfic birthdays.

The first one was my Brothers 21st - decided on an A4 card as it was a special birthday and choose a mini/italian job theme as he loves the car and the film!

The greeting along the top reads 'Birthday wishes Birthday wishes .... ' I couldn't find a tyre stamp or print off in time so I hand drew the tyre tracks which took ages but was worth it!

The next was my partner's daughter's 5th birthday, we had her over this weekend, took her to the local gala/fair that was on and had a birthday party at my mum's for her. She loves cat's and purple so that was my theme sorted out!

And finally .... I'm still working on this one, not sure if it is finished yet! One for my best mate's dad's birthday, he is a big fan of jukeboxes and has several around the house - i'm making this one for my best mate to give to his dad .. so i'll have to think of something else for the one i'm sending!! I spraypainted an old CD for the record, the jukebox is decoupaged and the sheet music is from one of his favourite songs.
Please leave your comments and any suggestions as I'm not sure whether it's finished or needs something else!

Wedding Card

Here's my latest make! I haven't been able to craft for awhile due to doing training for my new job - been exhausted but I'm enjoying it loads.

Bought some new craft supplies over the past week so decided I should have a play. Got penny black unmounted stamps, which are soooo cute!! Have so many ideas in my head so should have loads of fun playing with them. I got some embossing powder too - a new technique I've been wanting to try for awhile, I'm pleased with the results and can see myself using it on many cards. The Hedgehogs actually have a shimmer to them but you can't really see it in the pictures. I also got a silent setter as I was having difficulty fixing vellum onto my cards without the glue showing! So here it is, my make with both embossing and use of eyelets! Hope you like, sorry the pictures aren't the best! x
